We had the pleasure of helping to keep a very clean E90 M3 on the road by installing a new set of rod bearings. If you’re not already aware, BMW had issues with the durability of these components, and they are not something that you want to have failing as that makes for a very bad day. If you’ll notice the side by side comparison below you can see just how much wear there is.
As you can see this job is fairly involved as it requires dropping the oil pan, which unfortunately also requires removing the entire subframe assembly as well.
