Eurofest Maggie Valley 2021

Nestled in the Western North Carolina mountains the town of Maggie Valley sets a sleepy and idyllic backdrop for one of the coolest up and coming European car shows on the east coast.  With stunning views and picturesque overlooks just minutes away,  there is no better setting for hosting an outdoor car show in our opinion. Nevermind the fact that with this great topography comes some of the, if not the best driving roads in the world, including the infamous Blue Ridge Parkway. Naturally, Black Forest Technik — Cary’s leading European automotive repair shop — had to make an appearance!

This VR6 swapped MK2 Jetta Coupe was one of the most impressive builds of the show. From the color to the OEM+ execution of the engine swap, to the Rallye headlight conversion this thing had it all. Clearly a lot of time and effort went into this one.

Not to be outdone, directly next to the previous Jetta coupe was this 12v VR6 swap. The polished manifold intake manifold and shaved bay were a little more showy but still very clean nonetheless.

This RS5 was wearing our absolute favorite shade of green, and tastefully lowered on some clean wheels, this package was pretty hard to argue with

It’s not often you see an Arteon on the road let alone at the car show. This one was one of two here and it was quite stunning with its perfectly fitting and well matched BBS LM wheels.

Maybe equally rare was this Audi A3 E-tron. This hybrid electric is even more scarce than the Arteon and certainly not something that is commonly modified. It’s a shame we didn’t get the performance models in a 5 door, yet this was very good looking and we assume got great mileage all the way to and from the show 🙂
