Eurofest Raleigh 2023

Eurofest Raleigh, or “Southeast Eurofest” saw an even larger turnout this year with the addition of a few more vendors, as well as a particularly strong showing from the Paid in Full car club with their entourage of 80s and 90s BMWs. We saw all the familiar faces as well as met quite a few new ones. We love having this event in our own back yard, and we’re thankful to be able to continue to help sponsor events like these in the community. As usual, here’s a smattering of what we saw…

2nd Annual Technik Treffen CAR SHOW EVENT

We are inviting everyone to come celebrate with us here at the shop on Saturday, March 25th. We want this to be a very relaxed “treffen” (or meet-up for you English speakers).  We will not be having a “show”or awards in the traditional sense, we just want everyone to have a place to come hang out for the day and (hopefully) enjoy some nice spring weather to kick off the season. It’s your chance to show off what you’ve been working on over the winter. We will have a German food vendor on site to slang those brat and currywurst lunch trays, as well as Aviator Brewing on site to fill up a mug (or cup) for you.  New this year will be “Baltic Bites” a Lithuanian food truck and we’re very much looking forward to having them. Expect to see some other familiar vendors as well, including aerofabb, Rotiform, and more!

The event starts at 10 AM until 3PM or until everyone decides they’re ready to stop having fun 🙂 

Where is this happening?

Will there be food?

You bet your lederhosen there will be! We’re excited to have Kat-n-Around Authentic German Food on the scene all day, slangin the best of the currywurst and brats for days. We’ve had this stuff and it is perfect Euro comfort food.  Click the image below for a complete menu of what will be available.

In addition to the German food, we are also highly anticipating yet another European food option called Baltic Bites ! They are  the first and only Lithuanian food truck in the country serving fresh, healthy and delicious cuisine to the Triangle and they are family owned and operated.

What about beer?

This wouldn’t be a Black Forest function without some brews. And in keeping with that tradition we will be having Aviator Brewing serving up some pints (or whatever vessel you get your grubby paws on) to whet your whistle. If you’re not familiar with Aviator then you should check out their website here: aviatorbrew.com

Where do I park?

We have quite a bit of space this year, which means you will be able to park *mostly* where you want, and with your group / club.  We just ask that you PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE MAIN ROAD THROUGH. This means all the way back to the wooded and gated area in the back.  Please be respectful and considerate and leave room for others.  Please do not arrive before 10 am! There is no registration for this event. It is free.

What is happening?

You sound kind of stoned when you ask that but alright. This is a EUROPEAN AUTOMOTIVE MEET-UP or GTG as some might say. You’re invited to bring you European car and just come hang out. Do not feel as though your car needs to be special or finished or anything else. Just come as you are. Like Nirvana.

Technik Thursdays - February 2023

Technik Thursdays are back! One month from now we’re kicking off the season with the first of our monthly get together events. You can expect a great group of people and a wide variety of cars all in a casual atmosphere here at our shop. As usual we’ll provide the snacks and refreshments, and hopefully by the time the event rolls around we won’t be in the dark! Anyone and everyone is welcome for this laid back car meet and we look forward to seeing everyone in February!

Cars ANd Coffee Morrisville October 22

We had a killer time out at our second Cars and Coffee Morrisville event this weekend. We brought out our Audi R8, BMW M235i, 2 Volkswagen Touareg overland builds, and a Mk6 Golf R. Of course these paled in comparison to some of the shinier exotic metal that turned up, including the surprise star of the show Ferrari F40! Eurofest Maggie Valley 2022

Eurofest Maggie Valley was an absolute blast once again. The weather held out and we were spared the rain. All in all we’d say there was about a 20% increase in attendance over last year and the quality and diversity was everything you could ask for in a show with one of the most beautiful backdrops possible. Georgia Traverse Overland Weekend

We recently had the pleasure of taking a trip to North Georgia and the surrounding areas to explore some of the wonderful trails and wilderness that part of the country has to offer.  Being relatively new to non paved excursions we were fortunate enough to have some experienced guides from Forge Motorsport Overland and 380 Industries leading the way for us. While more of the trails were not that technical, there were enough spots that demonstrated the vehicle’s capability, as well as some water crossings that just looked great  in photos (but again did not remotely challenge the vehicles) All in all it was an incredible time and the scenery and the company were absolutely top notch. We’re looking forward to getting our Touaregs, both the T2 and T3 TDI out again very soon for more adventures.

Technik Thursdays Recap May 2022

What an awesome turnout for our most recent Technik Thursdays event! Tons of cars and a great variety made it one of the best ones yet. From vintage to imported, new, old and everything in between, this truly had the vibe of a mini cars & coffee event. We’re enjoying the open invitation and so far everyone has behaved themselves flawlessly. We appreciate all of the respect we’ve been shown and in return we’re glad to keep providing a space (and pizza) for car enthusiasts alike. Enjoy some shots in case you missed out.

Alpine Volks Fair 2022

Here’s just some brief coverage of our trip to Alpine Volks Fair this past weekend in Helen, Georgia. We have some footage of the Carreras and Coffee meet up, the VW MK1 Caddy / Pickup get together that we hosted, as well as some footage from the actual show itself, and a few other shots from around town. It’s hard to completely capture just how cool the entire experience is, and just how many high quality cars are in such a few square miles. While this annual event’s future was in question at one time, let there be no doubt that it’s back and better than ever! We were honored to be the hosts of the MK1 Caddy GTG and were very happy with the turnout. Very excited that we were able to show up with a total of 3, including out 2.5 swapped truck that we got running only a few weeks prior, with no real shakedown miles on it.  Enjoy the photos and video.

Alpine Volksfair MK1 Caddy GTG

 We’re excited to be returning to Helen, Georgia again this year, this time hopefully in a convoy of early 80s Volkswagen trucks. Our plan is to bring down a few of our long time projects, and one of our more recent experiments . The most classic example we are bringing is somewhat of a barn find that was shipped to us from the midwest. This particular example is almost completely stock and is a real survivor. It has been graced with only period correct upgrades, including a new carb setup. In addition to that one, we will also be bringing a super slammed turbo diesel, with a wonderful patina. And lastly we are hoping to be wrapping up our 07K swap ‘sportruck’ that was orginally intended as shop run around vehicle. Regardless we look forward to seeing you all there!
